Ok so this might be a difficult question, but if you weren't a car guy and you had to own three boring/ ordinary cars what would they be?
My choice:
Volvo 244 DL (actually I've always thought it was kind of a cool car, but anyways..)
BMW E46 316i: possibly one of the most boring BMW ever made, but it's a BMW and it will show the world I tried a little harder in school and thus I'm a little better off..
Jeep Grand Cherokee (first generation); something to go off road in.. kinda. Always loved the look of these anyways..

1999 F150 4 door

I would probably have bought something less interesting, more reliable and with more useful features than the C5 and Tribeca so probably an Azera and some boring SUV like a Santa Fé.

Boring cars, eh?
1. Camry (family car)
2. Prius (for commuting, got to save gas)
3. CR-V (because sometimes there's leaves in the street)

2005 Impala (what we had and could have been a hand me down)
2002 Trailblazer (also hand me down)
And because I originally wanted a truck (technically got one, but it's an SUV) A 1997 Silverado
But because I knew a little bit about vehicles and had family experience with mid-80's and up GM's, I knew the funky transmission feeling was a bad sign and that the feel-less brakes were not good. Also, with 170k miles and 3 rebuilt engines....
A very GM heavy line-up for someone who doesn't want anything to do with GM's after 1980, with a few exceptions. Like the Trailblazer. Fuck the LS, the Atlas should have killed it off.

An Acura ILX, because luxury.
A Dodge Charger with the 2.7, because it's a muscle car.
A Toyota Prius, so I can save the environment.

The only boring car I like is the chevrolet suburban.
Massive, 4wd and decently comfy with room haul the family and all their shit.

Really gotta wrap my head around this one...
I'm thinking...
Toyota Prius V for car/family/commuting. Or a C-Max if I'd want to be more unique.
Toyota Tacoma crew cab for trucking. Or an F-150 if I felt I needed something bigger.
Honda CR-V or Subaru Forester for SUV/Crossover things. Or a Mazda CX-5, because it gets better mileage than a lot of sedans.
I'm taking the view that the consumer at hand (I can't even put myself in this) wants something roomy (or that feels roomy), popular, milquetoast, relatively efficient and/or reliable, and under warranty.
Ugh, that feels weird writing this.
Alternately, which cars would I recommend for my mom? C-Max, CX-5, Kia Soul, Kia Sedona, new Ford Edge/Lincoln MKX.

Hmmm..
CTSV, because its a fancy Cadillac, so its super comfortable and luxurious and I have no idea whats its really capable of. But I bought it because I told the salesman I couldnt be seen in anything cheap. It does make a whirring sound, but the guy at the shop says its normal. I think its a lemon, ughh never buying American again. Maybe something German like a Lexus next time.
GMC 2500 because how else am I suppose to get to the office and pick up my dry cleaning. Plus I need something with high seating so I can see whats in front of me and feel safe at all times. What does 4lo mean? Is it for the rain?
I dont really know why I bought this. My neighbor has one, and MSNautos.com said it was a good investment. Its nice to drive on Sundays to church, but I personally think its too fast. Probably because I tell my mechanic to use synthetic oil and only use premium fuel . At least Itll have a good resale value, thats important to me as a consumer. Its pretty high mileage, 75k, so I cant trust it on long trips to college football games anymore.

Damn I didn't realize just how ugly that generation of f150 was. I mean I had the ultra boxy 1990 but fuck me something about that truck is D Grade unattractive

This is easy, because in my neighborhood everybody has answered this question. The answer is:
1. Newish Toyota Camry, somewhat clean, for the patriarch to go to work.
2. Newish Toyota Sienna (but high mileage and disgustingly dirty), for the matriarch to take children from school to Kumon before she comes back to cook dinner.
3. Older Toyota Camry, for use by in-laws or teenagers.
Possibly replace the Toyotas with corresponding Lexuses if the patriarch gets promoted.

I was even considering the next gen and finding a lightning but it just takes the piss on being equally as ugly.
I'm not going to post a picture of the jelly bean tail lights.

2009 Camry
1994 Integra LS - my neighbor, an ex-school teacher, has one with a 5-speed so it totally isn't cheating.
2005 Odyssey.

This is a damn tough question. 1. New Ford Explorer.
2. Honda Insight for commuting. With an auto trans, of course, because "OMG its so tiring driving stick in traffic blah blah blah."
3. 2015 Suburban.

Hell, I am a car guy and I've owned a parade of the finest vanilla and/or beige vehicles available. This IS my wheelhouse. I'd have a pink Mitsubishi Mirage (the new one that everyone else hates), a 81-96 Ford F-150 4x4 with the slow-ass inline 6 and a manual, and a Volkswagen Routan, just because it makes no goddamn sense.

So, three cars, but none for the pleasure?
Camry: for the daily.
Ford F150: for the boat and the Home Depot.
Jeep Grand Wagoneer: for the investment?

A Ferrari 250 California
A Delorian
And an e34
Fortunately I'm not a car guy so I have no idea how much any of these cost or how unreliable they are and I choose all my cars based on my favorite movies.

This is really hard, it was much easier to pick my top 10 garage. Any way, lets try (note I don't live in the US, so car names may be different or not offered in your area). Also got to remember its not the worst cars, but cars YOU would have if you weren't a car guy.
1) BMW 2 Series Active Touring
It's a FRONT wheel drive BMW, its offered with a 3 cylinder petrol engine and there are diesel options too, for great MPG. Its shaped like a CR-V, does not really fit the BMW line up and can fit the kids for the school run. Plus I will think I am flashy in my BM
2) Chrysler Crossfire
It was never a good sports car or GT car. The interior is full of cheap looking plastic, its underpowered and its design was already dated when it was just launched. But not being a car guy, I will think I am super cool on my weekend drive.
3) Toyota Etios
Built for India, South Africa, Brazil and Indonesia (built in India and Brazil). Offered in 1.5 petrol - 89 hp, 97 lb-ft or 1.4 diesel - 67 hp, 125 lb-ft with a 5 speed manual, no auto option. The metal is so thin it dents if you punch it. It has no Euro NCAP and U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ratings as they have not undergone crash tests.
As a non car guy this would be my daily driver, its cheap and can get me to and from work.
